Sad, Sad Week

Man, this week has been a doozy. I don't know about you guys, but Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon were names I heard often growing up. I loved them all.

Frankly, I was a little surprised that Ed McMahon lasted as long as he did and Farrah's passing was looming, but Michael Jackson totally caught me by surprise. I thought my co-worker was yanking my chain when she mentioned it. He can't be dead! The guys a legend!

I'm having a hard time coming to terms with it. It's just weird. He was the King! He was such an icon when I was little. I love his music. I was rockin out to Thriller, Billy Jean and Beat It on my way home today. One station had a MJ lunch hour with people calling in to tell stories of fave memories and requesting songs. I got choked up more then once listening to it.

I just can't believe he died. Too weird.

Rest In Peace, Ed, Farrah and Michael.

Agreed. Definitely a blind-sider. It's very surreal...no other way to describe it. Very sad. I was also listening at lunch...and on the way home. Completely different listening to his music now.

On a lighter note, I'm really loving your new layout. I've been thinking I wanted to find something with a lighter background...kinda over the pink. Also, I'm gonna have to hit you up for a tutorial on the header collage. I love it! Did you do it in Picasa? I have Photoshop Elements, but I just haven't had time to mess with it yet. Looks VERY good! Hope your back's feelin' better!

I agree....His voices & rhythem was so great. I always loved his outfits & hair too. Beautiful smile. Sure wish he had left his nose alone. Amazing artist. Love Mom

I think this is the most I have ever cried about a famous person dieing. We shall see what happens when Patrick Swayze goes. That's gonna be a bad one for me as well. :-(

I too found myself suprisingly upset about his passing... I was a fan of his music but a skeptic of him as a person...but then watching his memorial yesterday and hearing everyone talk about his life all week I was forced to see a different side of him and it made me all the more sad to see him go. I think my earliest memory of music is Thriller, Billie Jean and Bad.
