Sunday Stills Challenge - Black and Whites

Wow. This one was difficult for me! I don't have an eye for black and white pictures at all. I went out on a mission to get some shots that I thought would be cool in black and white and they weren't very good.

Once I started converting the other random pictures that I took while outside to black and white and messing with the contrast a bit though, I really liked the way they were turning out!

So this weeks challenge was to pick two previous challenge topics and shoot them in black and white. I went back to see what some of the topics were before I started and discovered "Pets". Wohoo! Here's some pics of Cheyanne in black and white.

The other topic I chose was Flowers and Plants from last week. They are my very favorite thing to shoot after all. I reeeally like the way some of them turned out!

Here's more of the bastard dandelions...

And some other interesting plants and flowers around my house...

That was fun! Can't wait to see what's next!

Those turned out really good! I love the one of Cheyanne, she is really photogenic! I love black and white, but I struggle with it because I typically take the photos in color, then edit them later in blk & white, and I think I need to take them in black and white. My new camera will do that, yea!

Love that second pic of Chey. I also love the dandelion pics...I think my fav. is the second one, the puff with the fence in the background (or whatever that wood is). ;) Isn't it funny how we curse those things? They really are beautiful!

Really nice dog shots, especially the 2nd and 3rd. Very intimate. Makes me want to get a dog...

I find it hard to do flowers in black and white, although the dandelion is a great example of how to do this. Good work!

The dandelions going to see are fantastic!! And, of course, I love the ones of Cheyanne...black & white works so well for most dogs! :)

Your dog is great at the posing - the third one looks such a classic studio portrait!

And I really like the bastard dandelion as a puffball. So perfect. So dastardly and ready to be blown away.
