Sunday Stills Challenge - Animals of Husbandry

Once again I've been a little preoccupied this week and I didn't get any new pictures that would qualify for this weeks challenge. So back to the archives we go!

This is another picture from the camping trip I took to Ellensburg a few years ago. The last day there we ended up helping friends of in-law's in-laws, cousins, neighbors, dogs grandma (or some wacky relation of that sort) drive some cattle. I believe it was my one year anniversary of owning Midori and we'd never been any where near cattle together. It was quite the adventure thru the hills of Ellensburg and I had so much fun!

That's really all I've got that isn't just a bunch of horses that I've already posted a million and three times. I'll try harder next week, I promise!

That looks like so much fun! I've never gone on a cattle drive, but would love to some day!

I would LOVE to do that someday, too. Not sure how My Boy would be, don't think he's ever been on cattle, either. How did Midori do?

This must just be an archives week. I think several of us had to revert to that. Great pic!

Pony Girl - Midori did awesome! She was a little unsure at first, but she settled in and did great! A lot of the day was spent running thru brush and taking cows down hill sides, which of course I couldn't have my camera in my hand for. We had to chase a couple escapees down thru the brush and Midori was all over those cows, like white on rice! lol

It was a really fun day, definately play for a "city girl" like me. City girl, relatively speaking of course. I was pretty city compared to most of the people I was riding with.

CTG Ponies, I was totally exhausted by the end of the day, so was Midori. The ponies were really quiet in the trailer for the ride home!

And Andrea Baker - these dogs were AMAZING! They were herding dogs in every sense of the word and loved their job!
